The arrest of Abba Kyari over the cocaine bust, according to a retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Austin Iwar, reveals that there are many more Abba Kyaris in the Nigerian Police force structure, and that other officers may be committing even bigger crimes.

AIG Iwar remarked on Channels TV's 'Sunrise Daily' on Wednesday that the fact that an officer on suspension as a result of his indictment by the FBI in the $1.1 million Hushpuppi internet scam was able to influence and direct police operatives around speaks volumes.

"The NPF has legal and constitutional backing to conduct investigations on," he continued.
