I have the honor to introduce to you one of our own, a dynamic leader and a man with a divine mandate. His legacy, track record and commitment to excellence is second to none. He demystify uniqueness and has contributed greatly to the emancipation of youths in Ogoja, Nigeria, Africa and the world at large.
Augustine Ugar was birthed in Ogboja, Ogoja LGA, Cross River State. He grew up having a great vision and passion for effective leadership.
Augustine completed his secondary school education at Federal Science College, Ogoja. He obtained his first B. Sc in Biological Sciences in Unical. In 2010/2011 session, he got admitted for his second B.Sc in the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Calabar where he graduated as the overall best student. He completed his NYSC in Benue State in 2016 and he was retained as a Lecturer in the same University where he is currently working. His interest in academic won him a fully funded scholarship for M.Sc. He finished with a record GPA of 5.0 in a 5.0 cumulative, achieving straight 'As' in all the courses. It was the overall best individual MSc result in 2018.
Later in the same year, he enrolled in a PhD programme which he is currently at the concluding stage. He is a scholar with no mean value. He is also a recipent of two foreign PhD scholarships from PTDF and DAAD.
His recently unveiled family foundation "RUTINE INITIATIVE" is an international organization aimed at impacting lives. His family hope to partner with MOMH to carry out projects that will be of benefits to the people of Ogoja and beyond.
He has also garnered work experience from reputable organizations. He is a consultant to Panandy Oil and Gas, Kobel Kris Limited and Oswill Global companies.
Augustine is an exemplary leader with various roles inextricably tie to his name. He has served as the Coordinator Young Scholars Forum, Cordinator Good Governance Initiative, Founder Pillars Foundation, Secretary General Impact Leaders Club, Cordinator Pan African Youth Forum, National Cordinator, Action Leadership Group, National President, Highflyers Forum, President, Unical Debate Club to mention but a few.
In 2010, he represented Nigeria at WUDC held in Bostwana. In 2011, he participated at PAUDC held in Zimbabwe. In 2013, he represented Unical and won the first ever ANUDC. In 2014, he participated at the GTUDC held in Accra, Ghana. Later in 2014, he was selected to represent Nigeria at London Model for United Nations (LIMUN) held at Imperial College in London, UK. In 2015, he was a delegate at International Youth Leadership Conference (IYLC) held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In 2016, he was appointed DCA at ANUDC hosted by Covenant University. In 2017, he was Chief adjudicator for public speaking at ANUDC held in Uniport.
Augustine is a recipient of 32 internal, national and international awards: ABO star leadership award in community development, FIS award of excellence, Top 3 best participant award by IYWLI, Face of Impact award, Mandela Washington Young African Leadership Award, Debate and public speaking awards etc.
He is an active member of Impact Your World Leadership Initiative, John Maxwell Leadership Team, ASUU Unical, Academic Elite Group, Scholars Forum, Progressive Movement, Young African Research Fellowship, YALI, Nigerian Debate Community, African Youth Forum, NPSA, Calabar Book Club, Social advocacy debate, Diaspora Commission, European Research Council, Falling Wall Berlin and he is a member of MOMH platform.

Ladies and gentlemen, fellow Ogoja sons, daughters and friends with gladness I present to you a dedicated scholar, a calm achiever, a loving husband to a beautiful professional nurse/midwide (Ruth), a man with the dream of transforming his generation, committed to moving Ogoja forward and to the ideals of MOMH.
